This is the first full-length, detailed study of the art and thoughts of Ng Eng Teng, one of the leading sculptors in Singapore. Featured here is a collection of works (including paintings, drawings and sculptures) donated by the artist to the National University of Singapore Museum. This extensive body of works offers a systematic appreciation of the development of Ng's art. The present publication attempts to provide an account of this development by examining the works and relating them to Eng Teng's thoughts and to the circumstances in which they were made. Artist biography and a full catalogue of the collection (complied by Constance Sheares) are provided. With a foreword by Professor Lim Pin, Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Singapore.
