Commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, The Art School invited Brett Jones (art critic from Melbourne), Manray Hsu (art curator from Taipei), Xu Bing and Gao Minglu, to take part in the Residency Project for International Renowned Visual Artists. During their residency in Hong Kong, a series of workshops, tours, talks, forums and exhibition were held, focusing on the recent development of contemporary Chinese art in its cross-cultural context and Hong Kong's position in the international art scene.

The present DVD contains a recording of the third forum of the project, held on 9 August 2003, at Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre. The speakers were: Gao Minglu, Xu Bing, Phoebe Wong (Head Researcher, Asia Art Archive), Jaspar Lau (Independent Curator and member of Para/Site Collective) and Dr. Christina Chu (Chief Curator, Hong Kong Museum of Art). The moderator of the forum was Johnson Chang. The forum was conducted in Mandarin and English.
