Catalogue of Sasa [44]'s solo exhibition Our Spot: New York at Kim Jinhye Gallery in Seoul. Our Spot is Sasa [44]'s longest-running series to date. Begun in 2003, each version consists of both a sustained series of actions that take place in different cities accompanied by photographic documentation of those actions. The point of departure for each version is a set of instructions of what to do during a given day in a particular city. A friend or person otherwise familiar with the given city provides these instructions, acting in equal parts as tour guide and drill sergeant. The present catalogue includes an essay by Joan Kee and the instructions given to the artist for the version set in New York.
