Schudy (Qiu Ti 1906 - 1958) belonged to the first generation of woman oil painters in China. Together with her husband Pang Hiunkin, she became one of the core members of the Storm Society, an art group that led China's early modern art movement in the 1930s. The present monograph of Schudy provides artist chronology, writings by Shen Kuiyi, Julia F. Andres and Ni Jun.
