This is an article about an abstract landscape mural by Ray Yip, a local artist, titled Keep Shek O Beautiful. It was located on slope works at the junction of Shek O Road and Cape D’Aguilar Road before it was painted over by government contractors, who considered it graffiti because it lacked the proper permits for public art. A Highway Department spokesman and three residents of Shek O, including photographer Ira Chaplain, are quoted.
