This publication is produced on the occasion of the exhibition of the 6th Hiroshima Art Prize which is rewarded to Iranian artist Shirin Neshat. The exhibition is held in Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art from July to October 2005.

With the purpose of making an appeal to the world through modern art for the spirit of Hiroshima, which desires peace, the City of Hiroshima established the Hiroshima Art Prize in 1989. An artist who has contributed to the peace of humanity through their creative activities is selected every 3 years. Shirin Neshat is the recipient of the 6th Hiroshima Art Prize, the exhibition is part of the events that commemorate the 60th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
