According to Deddy Irianto of Langgeng Gallery, few women artists can set claim on a career as long and as international as Arahmaiani's in the global art world. Her works focus on the issues between West and East together with the problematic issues of gender, especially the discrimination of women. This solo show tries to present Arahmaiani's statement as an artists, by showing major artworks representative of her concepts and ideas. Artist biography is provided in the present catalogue.
