Catalogue of solo exhibition by Wang Chisui at JiArt Gallery in 2007. 'By using snapshot photography as a basic point of departure, and by re-enacting some of the typical lens-image features in her paintings, like the out of focus and the motion blur, Chi-Sui Wang highlights the difference that exists between a snapshot, and a painting... With this body of works, Chi-Sui Wang asks us to re-connect with creative individual visual experience. With her paintings she widens the time span we normally regard for these kind of "snapshot" images, and in the opening that is created we reshape our visual memory in dialogue with this work.' Artist biography is provided in the catalogue.
