Catalogue published on the occasion of TAMA '07 held in Manila and Baguio, the Philippines. Tupada began as Tupada Action Art Events in 2002 and has since evolved into TAMA, Tupada Action and Media Art. The aim of TAMA '07 is to engage the public in the display of curated representations of past performances and to reintroduce action art, so that it may take a more definite stand and assert itself in Philippine contemporary art scene. Ronaldo Ruiz, artistic director of TAMA '07 wrote, 'Tupada Xing: Social Contact symbolizes not just crossing boundaries but also intersecting the components of action art; not just breaking down the walls that divided cultures but also binding individuals in their common pursuit of performance practice.' Artist biographies are provided in the present catalogue.
