The art of Pinaree Sanpitak is inspired by natural forms and the female body. She has produced installations made up of cushions or beanbags resembling female breasts. For the exhibition at the Art Center of Jim Thompson House, entitled 'Temporary Insanity', Sanpitak hides sound detection devices inside the (breast shaped) sculptures which will vibrate to sounds made by visitors in the gallery. Thus, they are no longer passive objects but something with a life of their own.
