Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition The Burning Edge: Making Space, Activating Form at the CMC Gallery, City University of Hong Kong from January to April 2012.

The exhibition is one of the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre (CMC) Grand Opening Festival programmes and is the first ever exhibition to be mounted in the CMC Gallery designed by the eminent architect Daniel Libeskind.

'As an exhibition, The Burning Edge commissions and adopts a set of installations more or less identifiable as contemporary art while also offering a window into the practices - technical, critical, creative, and otherwise - of the entire school, borrowing interventions from documentary film, musical compositions, product design, televisual production, and computer graphics in order to complete the bulwarks of our admittedly highly selfish appropriation of architecture for the sake of a slightly more human approach to art and cultural production.' - from introduction by the curator, Robin Peckham.

The exhibition is comprised of three parts: Phantoms of Cinema; Structure, Space, Ecology; and Bodies in Motion.  With artists biographies.
