Claire Morin favorably reviews the Third Guangzhou Triennial for Time Out HK readers. Entitled 'Farewell to Postcolonialism', the exhibition was headed by three curators working with seven other curators from around the globe to move beyond traditional postcolonial discourse. Because the Triennial is split between two venues, the smaller Time Museum site located in an unfinished residential housing block is the one to skip. Morin's favorites include: "No Foreigners beyond This Point" by Lu Jie; The Internationale? sound installation by Xiao Xiong; Harlem School of New Social Realism, video led by Zhao Gang; The Ground, the Root, and the Air: The Passing of the Bodhi Tree by Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba; OneOfTheseDays by Zhou Yi. Experimental video and installation art were the predominant media.
