A book featuring the collection of contemporary Chinese oil paintings of Robert A. Hefner III, a businessman and avid collector of art. He was first introduced to Chinese oil painting in 1985 and has pursued it ever since. In 1987, he staged a major showing of Chinese art at the Harkness House in New York City and subsequently opened Hefner Galleries, the first Western gallery to represent Chinese oil painters exclusively. A brief introduction of each of the artists in the collection is provided.
