This CD-ROM contains the following material on the exhibition 'Tomyam Pladib', which was held at Jim Thompson Art Center, from 19 March to 15 July 2008: biographies of participating artists, press releases, and images taken at the opening.
'Tomyam Pladib' aimed to show the complexity of Thai and Japanese contemporary art and culture through the multi-disciplinary works of Thai and Japanese artists. The artists explored the co-existence of the traditional and the contemporary in their respective cultures, using a variety of artistic strategies including video art, animation, installation, textiles and fashion as well as literature. Most of the works stemmed from memory, cultural collaboration and everyday life experience.
