Witness to Growth is an on-going painting project by Yu Hong. This exhibition was put together as a documentary of Yu Hong's life, from her birth in 1966 to the present (2006). Photographs or newspaper clippings of historical and political incidents are juxtaposed against the artist's paintings of herself, her family and friends. The catalogue includes interview by Shu Kewen and artist biography (in English and Chinese).
