'The three young artists in Min(e)dScapes, Anil Kumar Janardhanan, Ratheesh T. and Prajakta Palav are relatively new on the buzzing contemporary Indian art scene. Fired by an economic and cultural boom in these trash-glam days of the 'Indian Idol', when pop stars are chosen via SMS voting and millionaires are made on TV game shows, loads of gawky adolescent art (mostly painting) is actively hurled on to an ever hungry art scenario. A lot of this material forms a large look alike club; all corralled together in a sort of democratic playpen of pictorial piracy, mimicking decade old painterly proposals that were hatched under cable television's warm embrace by more accomplished artists. The varied works of the three artists in Min(e)dScapes mark a painterly departure from this vast assembly line of recycled, media inspired, poppy pap.' - Jitish Kallat.
