This publication is produced on the occasion of retrospective exhibition of Chinese artist Huang Yao of the same title in Shanghai Art Museum in August 2011.

Huang Yao excels Chinese history, literature, philosophy and the arts, and is at the same time a well-known cartoonist. In 1934, when Huang was working as a reporter in the press, he created the cartoon character, Niubizi, and later on produced a series of comics based on it. Apart from that, Huang is also knowledgeable in landscape painting, Chinese Folk and calligraphy.

Includes a chronology of Huang Yao and plates of his works.



本書出版於2011年8月,在上海美術館舉行之中國藝術家黃堯回顧展。

黃堯對中國歷史、文學、哲學和藝術均有很高造詣,同時也是廣受歡迎的漫畫家。1934年黃堯在新聞報擔任一名記者時,創作了著名的漫畫人物牛鼻子,其後連續創造了一系列膾炙人口的漫畫作品和漫畫人物。除了漫畫,黃堯還廣泛涉獵山水畫、中國民俗化、書法等藝術領域。
