Each year the Taishin Arts Awards recognize outstanding new works in the performing and visual arts. Productions and exhibitions are evaluated on artistic originality and quality of presentation. The award is intended to "enliven public awareness and participation in Taiwanese contemporary arts". The Taishin Arts Awards include the Performing Arts Award, the Visual Arts Award and the Jury's Special Award. Tang Huang-chen won the 2005 Visual Arts Award for her exhibition 'I Go Traveling V/ A Postcard with Scenery'. Images of works are accompanied by brief descriptions, artist/curator biographies and jury's comments.
