Catalogue of exhibition by Hong Kong artist Lau Chi Chung in 2007. The exhibition consists of two parts, part 1 is a one-day exhibition that focuses on 'abandoned objects'. It also involves public participation in an abandoned residence on a hill in Cheung Chau Island. Part 2 consists of works produced with collected 'abandoned pieces' from the ruins in Hong Kong, as well as works created by the participants from the one-day event. These works are exhibited at Kapok, a shop and gallery that used to be an abandoned garage. Part 2 also aims to present a different form of expression, trying to explore the possibilities of the exhibition format and how the public relates to it, especially in such a rapidly changing society. What is revealed is the development of the city, the use of old and new sites as media, the contrast of abandonment and revitalization. Lau's biography is provided in the catalogue.
