This is the catalogue of Yu Hirai's solo exhibition at Art Space Niji in 2006. Featured in the catalogue are photographs from the series 'Futaakari' and 'Kitchen Circus'. 'Futaakari' deals with the feeling of absence and reflects the artist's loneliness in a foreign country. Her recent series 'Kitchen Circus' consists of an imaginary circus that offers a stage onto which the artist projects her innermost feelings.
