Born in Taiwan in 1926, Yuyu Yang grew up in Beijing, and had studied traditional painting techniques, architecture, and sculpture in Beijing, Tokyo, Taipei and Rome. The art career of Yang had spanned more than 60 years, until he passed away in 1997. The present publication is the catalogue of a retrospective exhibition of Yang, featuring early works (in print) dated before 1946, works created in the later decades, as well as diary manuscript of the artist.
